The manufacturers which are associated in national member associations of EUROLUX offer a large selection of different rooflights as individual or continuous rooflights to the market.


Individual rooflights are for the time being categorised according to their basic shape.

There exists the following common types:

  • round
  • square
  • rectangular
Aside from that special designs of polygonal rooflights are available, e. g.:
  • triangular or
  • octagonal
According to the need and amount the manufacturers are able to produce special
constructions according to customer demands. So the architectural freedom is hardly limited.

Continuous rooflights are categorised according to their design
  • barrel vault
    • flat curved
    • semicircular
  • ridge roof (ridge lantern)
  • special designs (combination of flat and curved parts)
The gable ends normally are assembled vertically, in case of ridge roofs it can be hipped. Sawtooth roofs have on one side an opaque ridge, mostly on the southern side.


Sawtooth roofs are available:
  • symmetrical (30/30; 45/45),
  • dissymmetrical (30/60).

Special Constructions:

According to the need and amount the manufacturers are able to produce special
constructions yet which are not itemised here above ground areas according to customer demands. So the architectural freedom is hardly limited.
